Phlebotomy technicians are critical team members in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and blood donor centers. As new types of tests are developed and laboratory tech positions grow, it's an especially exciting time to begin a career in this thriving field. Some tasks phlebotomy technicians may perform include:

Drawing blood from patients and blood donors

Evaluating patients' ability to withstand the procedure and helping them feel comfortable

Explaining blood-drawing procedure to patients and answering questions

Performing basic point-of-care testing, such as reading blood glucose levels

Preparing blood, urine and other specimens for testing

Maintaining medical equipment such as needles, test tubes and blood vials

2. Complete a CORI Check.
3. Gain access to your course
4. Gain access to NHA
5. Complete all 4 of your Lab Days at our school.

6. Students encouraged to bring volunteers for lab draws

Can I work while I complete this course?
Yes, you can work. The knowledge materiel ie. class is online. You can complete it at your own schedule and pace.
Do I get to practice my skills?
During the lab days you will practice finger sticks on yourself, mannequins and fellow classmates.
What is NHA?
We partner with NHA
National Healthcare Association
Your tuition includes the Phlebotomy and/or EKG Technician online study guide and practice test. This supplemental product will be a part of your course work.
Do I need to pass a state exam to work as a Phlebotomist or EKG Technician?
Our course prepares you to sit for the National Phlebotomy Exam and National EKG Technician Exam with NHA. The student pays for the National Exams.
Most companies will allow individuals to work as a Phlebotomist or EKG Technician without the exam but our students are prepared to sit for them either way.
When are the lab days?
Lab days are listed above. Once the course is full we will remove the lab days.
